Rudolf Wilke (1873—1908) was a caricaturist and illustrator best known for his work in the German satirical publication Simplicissimus. Before being invited to contribute to the journal in 1899 by Albert Langen, it's founder, he was a major contributor to another Munich periodical, Jugend. Wilke studied fine art in Munich and Paris and later set up a studio with Bruno Paul, a fellow illustrator. In 1906 he became a share holder of Simplicissimus.
