The German painter and graphic artist Kurt OPITZ was born in Leipzig 13 December 1887 and studied at the Leipzig Academy. His work includes portraits, landscapes, and figurative works that often include aspects of mysticism. Opitz died in 1960. (see Thieme-Becker, Vollmer, Dressler)
